This labelling machine was developed to label 17 different shaped buckets which the paint manufacture supplies. Oval, cylindrical, square or conical containers can be closed, orientated and labelled in multiple locations. The format is simply selected via the HMI without the need for any format part changes.
The 2 robot labelling stations have Domino V series thermal printers installed for printing the variable information. These two stations are for the front and back labels which are applied to the buckets. The 3rd Labelling station is used to present the lid or recess label to the robot 2 when required.
In the event 3 labels are to be applied, robot one applies both the front and back label with robot two applying the lid/recess label. Additional formats can be added to the system without the need to program the robots. This is achived by entering key data such as label size, label positions, applicator head type via the format manager which is accessed by the touch screen HMI. This system is suitable for a range of industries including the Chemical / industrial coatings sectors, food industry such as labelling bulk containers for souces like mayonnaise.
BBK have been manufacturing Robotic labelling systems for many years. These systems give added flexibility and greatly reduce the change over time from 1 format to another.
